Customer Support: Errata in AWS Certified Solutions Architect Study Guide: Associate Exam

    Thomas Kringstad

There appears to be an issue with Chapter 7, Review Question number 19.

      The text reads:

Which of the following statements about Amazon DynamoDB tables are true? (Choose 2 answers)

      A) Global secondary indexes can only be created when the table is being created.

      B) Local secondary indexes can only be created when the table is being created.

      C) You can only have one global secondary index.

      D) You can only have one local secondary index.

And the answers in the back indicate that B and D are the correct answers.

However, per AWS documentation and also confirmed by testing you can have 5 local secondary indexes and you can have 5 global security indexes. It's true that local secondary indexes must be created when the table is created. So, in this question as written there is only one correct answer available. (B).

If the desire is to have two correct answers in the above, then D)  could be modified to read "You can have multiple local secondary indexes."

      Regards,

      Tom.
